Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you charge a fee to work as an agent/independent contractor?
Unlike many other agencies, we don't charge 'membership' fees. Our agents pay for their online CRM access (where you house your bookings and client travel information) which is currently at $10/month, and the cost for your company email box which is under $10/month. An annual filing fee of $50 will be required of you, paid to the State of Florida, for the ability to sell travel-related products and services that are located in Florida.
  • Is there a yearly quota I need to reach?
As a professional travel agency, we do require our agents to actively sell travel. We spend a great deal of time working with our team members to make certain they are well-trained and knowledgeable, and have the tools necessary to be successful. We require that our agents sell at least 6 Disney vacation packages a year, or a combination of any 6 Disney destinations which may include Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Adventures by Disney, Aulani in Hawaii, Disney Cruise Line, or National Geographic Expeditions.
  • Is selling travel difficult?
We believe that if you truly love what you do, and are passionate about your interests, the tasks of being a travel professional are not hard. It does require fantastic organizational skills, the ability to be a problem-solver, think quick on your feet, be a discount warrior (always looking out for your clients best interests in finding the best promotional offers for them), be a great communicator and biggest fan of the Disney Destinations you sell, as well as be professional, honest and ethical, and always an advocate for your client.
  • Do you provide leads?
On occasion, we do provide leads to our team, but our agents are primarily responsible for finding their own leads and customers. Our team members are proactive posting on social media, engaged in their local communities, and are typically the go-to person already for family, friends, and co-workers in planning their vacations.
  • What type of training is required?
All of our team members are required to take an online Disney training course, as well as updates to that training, also online (you'll have one week to complete the training once you become part of our team). We also conduct agency training online for our team members as part of our onboarding process. On occasion, we also offer on-site training programs at select Disney Destinations as part of Agent Education Programs. These are not required, but are extremely popular among our agents. We are selective in the agents we choose to send, looking for those agents who are actively booking, or truly working hard to obtain business.
  • Can I book other travel besides Disney Destinations?
While we are a strong Disney-Specialist travel agency (an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner and EarMarked Agency), we also work with all major cruise lines, river cruise lines, all-inclusive resorts, hotels, Universal Orlando Resort, Europe vacations, and more. We are a Preferred Universal Parks and Resorts Partner, as well as a Certified Sandals & Beaches All-Inclusive Resort Specialist, among many other designations we have. We always encourage our team members to come out of their comfort zone and learn about other travel supplier partners. There are many training programs available both online and in-person that may be available to you, and of course, we are here every step of the way to help with your training and give you the tools you need to be successful.
  • Do you provide E&O insurance?
Yes, we do provide E&O insurance for all of our team members for as long as you are active with us. There is no cost to you.
  • When are commissions paid?
Once your client completes travel and payment has been received by us from the travel supplier, you are immediately paid via direct deposit. We offer the direct deposit service at no additional cost to you.
  • Are you a registered Seller of Travel?
Yes, we are fully insured, bonded, and registered in the states that require Seller of Travel registration, including Florida and California.
  • Where are you located?
While we have remote offices in Florida and New Jersey, our team of agents are located all across the United States.
  • Are there any discount travel agent benefits?
Yes, there may be benefits available to you as one of our team members. This will be discussed if you are selected for an interview.
  • Do you have to work a certain number of hours?
There are no set number of hours that you have to commit to selling travel. However, you only get out of it what you put into it. Some of our top-producing agents also have full-time jobs, but have the secret sauce to help them manage their travel planning responsibilities aside from those full-time jobs. Our team of agents come from a wide cross-section of people. Some are stay-at-home moms and/or dads, some work full-time or part-time jobs and do this on the side, and some do this as their full-time career. The more vacations you sell, the more income you will have coming in!
  • How are taxes handled?
All of our team members are essentially Independent Contractors with the exception of our part-time employees. As an IC, we do not take any taxes out of your commissions, so you will be responsible for working with your tax professional to determine how much to set aside out of your commission checks in order to cover your taxes. In the beginning of each year (January), our tax accountant will issue you your 1099 form from the previous year to provide to your tax professional.
  • How do I get started?
Getting started is SIMPLE! Complete our online application to start. Please note that we are very selective in the talent we bring on as part of our team. It's important that you have a true passion for Disney, have traveled to a Disney Destination multiple times, and recently (this can be any combination of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney, Aulani, or National Geographic Expeditions). If you have any conflicts that would interfere with this type of position, it is best not to apply at this time. We're not searching for hobbyists, but we are searching for our next best Disney travel professional who is passionate about working with their clients in planning a truly magical Disney vacation! Will you be our next superstar? Please answer accurately and thoughtfully on your application. We are looking for your BEST foot forward, and we want to know why YOU are the best candidate for our team!
  • Do you accept agents from other agencies?
We get this question ALOT! If you are actively selling Disney vacations for another agency, you are welcome to apply here and know that your application and inquiry will be held in the strictest of confidence. If you have a contractual agreement with your agency, there may be loopholes that allow you to move to another agency which we can discuss with you at the time of your interview, if selected. We do not actively 'poach' or search out by way of personal contact, any agents from other travel agencies, as that is highly unethical. However, if you do approach us, we are willing to talk with you if you match our needs and have a great background selling Disney travel.
